Ardent 29 x 2.25 60 TPI Wire Single Compound Tyre
An aggressive tread on a high-volume casing, designed with great traction in mind. The Ardent doesn't forget the racer, with large block-style side knobs offering numerous edges for high-speed cornering. The centre tread, while ideal for braking and accelerating traction, also features ramped knobs to minimize rolling resistance. With a wide variety of size offerings, the Ardent captures every mountain rider's needs. - HIGH-VOLUME CASING - AGGRESSIVE TREAD DESIGN - TUBELESS READY (TR) EXO An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high. RUBBER COMPOUNDS The most important part of a tyre is arguably the rubber compound within the tread. By changing the amounts of various components of the rubber formula, engineers can make two identical looking tyres perform completely differently. This tyre uses Dual Compound - Two compounds used within the tread of select tyres to offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip. FOLDABLE BEAD Foldable beads also keep the tyre secured to the rim but are lighter weight and easily transported. The bead is made of spun aramid or Kevlar® fibres TUBLESS READY Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyres: Tubeless Road, Tubular, and Tubeless Ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty. |
